Christopher Shaw
Chris is a Professional Engineer with experience in both industry and university
environments. He worked as a fluid dynamics specialist for SDRC and Jaguar Cars in
the UK before moving to the Department of Engineering at the University of
Warwick. After 11 years at Warwick, Chris joined the University of Otago where he
developed a number of papers in Product Design and the Design for Technology
major of the Bachelor of Applied Science degree. On leaving he was Associate
Professor and Head of Department of Design Studies.
With strengths in engineering/design teaching, engineering research, general management and governance, Chris
has acted as a consultant to a wide range of professional organisations,
industrial companies, universities, local government and national government
organisations.
Outside work, Chris is Chair of the Kepler Challenge Mountain Run Trust and a Trustee of the Pomona Island Charitable Trust.
